Barbara,
I’m so sorry this comment slipped through the cracks! I often pray the Rosary the way you have just described — saying the prayers without a focus on particular mysteries. Sometimes I actually dedicate a decade to a specific person whose intentions I have promised to pray for. And mostly I pray it and fall asleep halfway through. I think whatever way we pray the Rosary is a good way!
Peace and love,
Mary

I usually pray with a rosary podcast (A Rosary Companion) but also like the idea of praying to sleep (reminds me of my grandmother praying in her bed whenever I spent the night)

Dear Terry,
Thank you for this comment. It was touching but also very funny! You started my day with a smile. I can tell from the way you write and the things you say that we have a soul connection. I will say a prayer for you today — and for our country.
Peace and love,
Mary

Shortly after everything “hit the fan” in March 2020, I grabbed one of the very numerous rosary beads around the house (my husband and I make occasional donations to religious organizations and the beads arrive – along with more donation requests! I swear our mailman thinks we are a religious cult!!!) I said the rosary then and again the next day and have said it every day since (except for one day 3 weeks ago – I don’t know what happened!) I am so worried about our country and my kids and Grands. Not being political but I fear for their future. I am 71 years old and so blessed. Married 48 years, 4 amazing kids and 7 Grands. Proud of my Catholic faith and treasure it. I thank my parents for instilling that in me. I laughed when you said you grabbed your beads one night and fell asleep before the end of the first decade – that is me! Now I pop my beads in my pocket when I walk 4-6 miles each day (pandemic pounds gotta go!) with my pup. He bails after the first mile! I am the crazy lady with her hand in her pocket grabbing the beads and her lips moving with “Hail Mary full of grace”. No doubt neighbors are convinced I am talking to myself! Your article really touched me. (Actually not just this one.) Thanks Mary. God bless you and your family and God bless America….please God!
