I have done this for 30+ years, and have seen the true underbelly of this Church and the priesthood. It has never shaken me like it has this time and for the most part I have been grateful to be part of the solutions. I have seen the transparency and truth, but I have seen evil and coverup from financial abuse to other abuse. This time though I have sadly seen the ugliness of clericalism suppressing our church. To hear the reminder from Ezekiel gives me hope. It is going to take more prayer, more faith, more trust than ever before and if we don’t do that Satan wins. We must stay close to the sacraments which come from Our Lord not a priest. He is purifying and sanctifying us, our priests and our church and He does it out of love for all. In the end, this is what we are called to -to trust fully in His plan. I love your work and writing BTW!

I believe that prayer does work, though we don’t always see immediate results. I have been preparing a message out of Job to share that though he was a righteous man he suffered loss and ridicule from his wife and friends. The bottom line is that sometimes things happen and we have to pray, not to get Him to prevent what is happening but rather so He can encourage us to stand and trust Him. Yes, we do have to do our part by doing life His way and not allowing sin of any kind in our hearts.
I will look forward to reading more about what you have to say.
Thanks,
Terry
