With the benefit of hindsight, I can see how painful situations actually led to spiritual growth. Often, the growth came by forcing my ego to downsize a bit! Now, the trick is to be aware during one of life’s storms, aware that I must stay the course, not overreact, and continue to be kind and courageous.
