How challenging it is to be completely present to any moment God has gifted us. I do want to join you this summer. Thank you dearly for your inspiration.

I also have 3 children, all girls, and I felt all the things you are feeling when my youngest went to first grade (we still only have half day kindergarten in our district which was a good thing in my case!). I’m glad you’re renewing your promise to enjoy more leisurely hours with your kids, but I also find that they don’t have to be HOURS. Even just 10 or 15 minutes of focussed time (with one child at a time or all of them together) can do a lot for your relationship and for their memories. I’m sure Chiara will remember many special afternoons spent alone with Mom, not how busy you were. It sounds like you have already created a lot of special memories together!
