I hope you’re thinking about the writings you do on this subject as if they’re seeds for a book. Catholics who feel these things have so little that speaks to them; these perspectives are unwelcome in official settings. But wherever this journey takes you, you’ll be speaking for many others who feel the same way and need to be able to reflect on where the journey is taking them. They need to see that it IS a journey, not just a failure.

So please think about making it a book. Maybe not right away — but later, when Pope Francis begins making a difference that can’t be ignored even by parish priests; when you’ve begun to reach some kind of peace about all this, or some resolution.

It’ll make a good story, one worth telling.
